The Canine Touch

EMILY

EMILY  (by Lyn Palmer)

Emily is a four year old border collie who was re-homed into a farm situation because she was too noise sensitive to live in a house in town with a young family. Both thunder storms and November 5th celebrations are very difficult for her and one year when it was thought that all firework noises had stopped she was frightened by a late loud bang and ran off and ‘got lost’. Luckily she was found 15 hours later but she had been trapped, unable to escape, and had damaged both front legs trying to escape and was very lame. Canine Touch helped her recovery, both emotionally and physically. There are still some times after a long walk that she becomes lame on the left leg but each time a Canine Touch body balance and the foreleg/shoulder procedures help her to lose the limp.
