We are delighted to announce booking is now open for this year’s Annual Conference to be held 26-27 October 2019 at Richmond Equestrian Centre, Breckenbrough Farm, Brough Park Catterick, Richmond, North Yorkshire, DL10 7PL

Anke Heley, our conference organiser, has a great line up with something for everyone.  We strongly encourage all our members to come out in force to support this event.

About our Speakers

Dr Deborah Carley BSc (Hons) Biochemistry, PhD Biological & Nutritional Sciences
Dr Deborah Carley is the founder and Managing Director of Thunderbrook Equestrian Limited. Her specialist areas are equine nutrition, feeding the metabolic syndrome horse, feeding horses with ulcers or compromised digestion.
Talk: The real truth about feeding your horse Naturally

Hannah Weston
Hannah is passionate about creating happy horse and human partnerships through positive training. Following her work as an Equine Touch Practitioner, she developed an interest in healthy equine movement and has created her programme of exercises to help horses become sounder, stronger and straighter. She has been teaching positive training techniques for over 10 years, both in person and online: www.ConnectionTraining.com.  A speaker at our Conference 2011, Hannah is making a welcomed return to share some of her knowledge and techniques in a talk entitled: Connection Training – Gymnastic Groundwork

Beccy Smith 
Beccy is a wellness coach for people and horses and is constantly exploring ways in which to facilitate health, longevity and balance in individuals and with respect to the land. Beccy has more than 25 years equine industry experience and is a proficient and successful holistic consultant. Beccy is an ADAEP (Advanced Applied Equine Podiatrist), a SCENAR-cosmodic therapist and Equine Sports Massage therapist and trained with the International Equine Body Workers Association (IEBW). In addition, Beccy has wellness coaching certificates and is a Reiki Master and qualified spiritual healer with the ICHF. Beccy is a (social) entrepreneur and business owner and is team leader at Holistic Reflections (www.holisticreflections.co.uk) where their motto is connect | balance | evolve!

Beccy will be giving 2 talks over the weekend. Talk 1:  Holistic Hoof Care – An integrative approach to achieving high performance in the domestic horse

Sandra Davies
Sandra’s equine journey began as a ‘horse mad’ child growing up to taking BHS exams, working in many yards, teaching,  having a competition yard to developing an interest in complementary therapies and training in massage, Reiki and craniosacral. Starting to feel and sense more so taking courses in animal communication. Last 10 years evolving more into human and equine connections and levels of consciousness, mind, body and spirit.

Lulu Ferrand
Lulu is a Craniosacral Therapist and Chair of the Craniosacral Therapy Association of the UK. Lulu deals with clients suffering from a wide range of physical and emotional complaints and specialises in stress and trauma release.

Babette Tegldal
Babette is an ET instructor, ET and VHT practitioner and has completed a MSc in Applied Positive Psychology before setting up and running groups and workshops focused on joy, flourishing and mindfulness.

Emma Overend
An Equine and Canine Touch Practitioner of many years, and more recently the leading light in setting up and running her Canine Conditioning Academy Emma will be here, sharing what is guaranteed to be an entertaining and highly informative Talk: Canine proprioception exercises: Assessing dogs for core strength and why training for it is essential

Jo Fernandez
Jo never turns down the opportunity to share her wealth of knowledge in her efforts to give all students, not just our VHT Practitioners, an insight into what is going on in the human body which developments in VHT are geared to address.  Talk: The Vagas Nerve

IETA UK & IRELAND AGM
Our AGM will take place this year as a face to face event rather than over the phone – just like the good old days! A chance for all our members to have their say without worrying about the cost of the phone call!
